The Highland Park 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is a lightly peated spirit that originates in Kirkwall, in the Orkney Islands, and was the first of the distillery's range. It blends whiskies matured in European and American oak barrels previously used for Sherry. On the nose, it is fresh and floral, with heather honey, burnt orange, jasmine, spiced fruitcake, and a delicate smoke of heather peat. On the palate, it is sweet on the attack, with a peppery spice and enveloping warmth, with a round and well-balanced body and a long finish.
