Giacobini's Vermouth Rosso is a Calabrian flavoured wine that is the result of a long process of experimentation. It is composed of Petelia Ceraudo organic wine, grape sugar, extracts and infusions of aromatic herbs, citrus peel and Mediterranean spices. The result is an enveloping, intense and pleasantly bitter Vermouth that can be enjoyed both 'on the rocks' and blended to create unmistakable cocktails. An explosion of fragrances, including wild thistle, artichoke, mandarin, liquorice and sandalwood, enclosed in an iconic packaging that echoes the classic 1904 label in a contemporary key

The Giacobini Red Vermouth is a Calabrian vermouth with a enveloping and balanced structure, made from a base of red wine produced with the native grape variety Gaglioppo. The historic Calabrian brand Giacobini, active since 1879, is now linked to the Essenza Mediterranea project, launched in 2020 with the aim of promoting the excellences of the Altomonte area. In particular, the brand's relaunch is due to the collaboration between Vittorio Gargaglione, owner of Essenza Mediterranea, and the starred chef Caterina Ceraudo, whose restaurant Dattilo is located within the family winery estate, whose wines serve as a precious base for the delicious Giacobini Vermouth.

The Giacobini Red Vermouth is made from a base of red wine ‘Dattilo’, produced under certified organic farming by the Ceraudo winery with the native Calabrian grape variety Gaglioppo, grown on predominantly limestone soils. This precious base of red wine is combined with a solution obtained from the infusion of 18 different Mediterranean botanicals in alcohol. Among these stand out the wormwood, the gentian, olive leaves, artichoke, Calabrian mandarin, Calabrian orange, licorice, cinnamon, bay leaf, and eucalyptus. Everything is sweetened with grape sugar to balance the bitter component of certain botanicals, and the vermouth is then aged in wooden barrels until the final bottling.

Visually, the Giacobini Red Vermouth shows an intense garnet red color. On the nose, complex aromas of wild cardoon, artichoke, mandarin, orange, licorice, wormwood, and sandalwood are perceived. The taste progression is decisive, warm, and enveloping, well-balanced between freshness and bitter components, elements that blend into a long-lasting elegant finish.
