'Tonsur' Pranzegg 2025
The "Tonsur" is a fresh and territorial white wine that comes from a blend of white grapes. Tempting and refined aromas of citrus, fresh herbs, moss, mountain flowers, and tropical essences project from a medium-structured body, characterized by freshness, minerality, and light aromaticity
The "Tonsur" from the South Tyrolean winery Pranzegg is a white wine with a fresh and mineral character, which well represents its place of origin. It is born from a blend of white grape varieties with light fruity aromaticity and refined elegance, floral and fruity aromas, and a Nordic and fresh touch, slightly vegetal. Thus, a white wine capable of preserving the artisanal face of a small winery that loves to produce wines in harmony with nature and linked to the traditions of the territory.
The wine "Tonsur" is the result of Martin Gojer's passion for his land. The Pranzegg winery is located in Campegno and consists of only 3 hectares of vineyard, cultivated on typical soils of the Bolzano basin. The significant temperature variations between day and night give the grapes intense aromas and rich flavors, particularly interesting for producing great whites. The vineyard is the center of all Martin's work, who follows the principles of biodynamics in full respect of harmony with nature and the surrounding environment. The search for expressive purity also concerns the winemaking approach, which is based on spontaneous fermentation, using only indigenous yeasts, no clarification or filtration. This results in authentic and direct wines, a true expression of grapes of excellent quality.
The "Tonsur" Pranzegg is a blend that perfectly reflects the desire to create an artisanal wine, capable of expressing in the glass the aromas of the grapes and the character of a mountain terroir. The grapes ferment in open tonneaux with skin maceration for a few hours. In the glass, it presents a bright straw-yellow color. The bouquet offers aromas of citrus, white-fleshed fruit, floral nuances, tropical hints, memories of mountain herbs and freshly cut hay. The sip is pleasantly harmonious and multifaceted, with juicy fruit and a very fresh, savory, and mineral finish.
