Spumante Brut Metodo Classico 'Cuvée Lunae' Lunae Bosoni 2020
"Cuvée Lunae" is a sparkling wine of great freshness and finesse produced from Albarola and Vermentino grapes grown near the sea. It matures on yeasts for 26 months and wins over with its elegant and creamy character, with a pleasant freshness accentuated by a bouquet of fresh citrus fruits, marine hints and small pastries
The Sparkling Brut Classic Method “Cuvée Lunae”, made by Lunae Bosoni, is an innovative label from this historic winery in the Colli di Luni area. The region has been dedicated to viticulture for millennia. Since the times of the ancient Romans, the site of Luni was an important commercial hub, and the inland was already cultivated with vines. The Lunae Bosoni winery has revived this great tradition and has been dedicated for five generations to enhancing the native grape varieties that have always been grown in these lands. It is a fresh, savory, and fruity wine that perfectly expresses the character of a unique place, nestled between the mountains and the sea.
The “Cuvée Lunae”, Sparkling Brut Classic Method, is the result of the experience and knowledge of the territory by one of the symbol brands of the area. The Lunae Bosoni winery is located in Ortonova, in the province of La Spezia. The estate extends in the hilly area between the coastline of the Ligurian Sea and the first foothills of the Apuan Alps. The cuvée is made from a blend of Albarola and Vermentino. The grapes come from the most suitable vineyards located in the hilly area of Castelnuovo Magra. IThe grapes are pressed very gently and under oxygen protection to avoid any oxidation. The fermentations take place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After 8 months of aging on the fine lees, the base wines are blended, and the second fermentation occurs in the bottle according to the Classic Method, with a period of refermentation on the yeasts of at least 26 months.
The Classic Method “Cuvée Lunae”, from the Ligurian winery Lunae Bosoni, is a Brut Sparkling wine characterized by a great territorial typicity. It perfectly expresses the characteristics of the terroir and the native grapes that have always been cultivated in the Colli di Luni area. In the glass, it presents a bright straw yellow color with brilliant reflections. The perlage is continuous, delicate, and fine. The aromatic profile is characterized by scents of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub, rosemary, thyme, sage, citrus fragrances, aromas of ripe white-fleshed fruit, hints of small pastries and flint. On the palate, it is harmonious and rich, with a juicy and fragrant sip that leads to a savory finish with lively freshness.
