Rosso di Montepulciano from the Tuscan winery Poderi Sanguineto is a balanced label with easy drinkability. Made from Sangiovese grapes (locally known as Prugnolo Gentile), Canaiolo Nero, and Mammolo, it is fermented with indigenous yeasts and then aged for a year in oak barrels from Slavonia and Allier of various capacities. With aromas reminiscent of plum and cherry, it pairs easily with the typical cured meats of the area.

The Rosso di Montepulciano from Poderi Sanguineto is born in Tuscany in the area between Montepulciano and Acquaviva, in the province of Siena. The winery is family-run and was established in 1958 thanks to Federico Forsoni's passion for the world of winemaking. He initially purchased about 35 hectares of land that are used not only for grape cultivation but also for cereals and livestock farming. The working philosophy is focused on maintaining strong and clear ties to the territory, with total respect for the raw materials and the nature surrounding the vineyards, ensuring a genuine and authentic product. Today, the business is managed by Dora who, after a period of study and work abroad, has returned to manage the family winery, seeking to perpetuate the tradition, carrying it into the future.

The Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Mammolo grapes of the Rosso di Montepulciano from Poderi Sanguineto are cultivated in vineyards that grow in continental climates with summers that are not excessively hot and winters that are not characterized by frost or excessive cold. The solar exposure is excellent, since the sun irradiates the plants throughout the day, ensuring perfect ripening of the grapes. The human intervention in the vineyard is minimal: no excessive fertilization, no preventive treatments or chemicals; only minimal amounts of sulfur and copper are used. The harvest is manual, and in the winery, alcoholic fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts. It macerates for about 10 days on the skins and ages for 12 months in barrique.

The Rosso di Montepulciano from Poderi Sanguineto appears ruby red with brilliant reflections; on the nose, aromas of plums, cherries, and spicy notes are perceived at the finish. On the palate, it has a balanced structure, with lightly integrated tannins and freshness that invites drinking. It is recommended to pair with traditional grilled cuts of red meat, cold cuts, and vegetable-based dishes; also interesting with aged cheeses. An excellent product to enjoy during joyful lunches with lifelong friends or for romantic winter evenings with relaxing music in the background, savoring in the glass a product that releases all the authentic flavors of the Tuscan land.
