Riesling Smaragd 'Ried Vom Stein' Nikolaihof 2021

The Riesling Smaragd ‘Ried Vom Stein’ from the Nikolaihof winery represents the Wachau in its highest expression, that of the Smaragd category. The Vom Stein vineyard, part of the historic Ried Silberbichl facing north, produces a Riesling that matures for four and a half years in neutral barrels, a truly typical style of this prestigious region. The nose is floral, with hints of peach and wet stone, the palate dense and persistent, capable of decades of evolution in the cellar. It should be served decanted, alongside a baked sea bass with Wachau herbs.
