The Riesling ‘Gutswein’ from the Nikolaihof winery is a full-bodied Riesling that, after a natural halt in fermentation, has retained a slight residual sugar capable of balancing the overwhelming freshness of the grape variety. Grown on the prestigious soils of Wachau, it has sweet hints of white peach and honey on the nose, while on the palate it is soft and lively, with a delicate sweetness that prolongs the drinking experience. It pairs perfectly with a dish of tempura shrimp and sweet and sour sauce.
Colour:
Pale yellow with golden reflections.
Scent:
Sweet aromas of ripe peach and honey, evolving into almond and crusty bread, with a citrusy finish of candied lemon.
Taste:
Soft, with good warmth and great tension, subtle sweetness.
