Puligny Montrachet Marchand-Tawse 2022

The Puligny-Montrachet by Marchand-Tawse comes from seventy-year-old vines planted around the village that gave birth to some of the greatest Chardonnays in the world. The grapes are pressed whole cluster and fermentation takes place in barriques with no added sulfur, with a long sur lie aging conducted without bâtonnage. On the nose, citrus and white flowers stand out, with a hint of toasted hazelnut and flint, while the palate is tight and mineral, supported by a vibrant sip. A precise white that perfectly accompanies scallops seared in butter.
