Prosecco Superiore Brut '52' Santa Margherita 2025
The Prosecco Superiore "52" is an organic sparkling wine of great freshness and lightness, vinified according to the Martinotti Method and aged briefly for a few months. It has a very fragrant and crisp aromatic profile, with notes of apple, peach, and white flowers. On the palate, it is creamy, agile, and slender with a fine perlage.
The Venetian wine reality Santa Margherita introduces the Prosecco Superiore Brut ‘52’, a graceful and floral Charmat Method. This label pays homage to the roots of the company: in 1952, the first Prosecco from Santa Margherita was produced, and the ‘52’ today is one of the wines that confirms the organic path. Alongside these illustrious values, there is also the desire to truly respect the environment. It comes from the vineyards of the estate in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene area, closely tied to the territory, interpreting its history and future. The grape harvest takes place every year with careful practices, essential to ensure that the clusters retain their body, aroma, and freshness.
The Prosecco Superiore ‘52’ Brut from the Santa Margherita Superiore winery is a 100% Glera grown in the Refrontolo Estate, at an altitude of 200 to 250 meters above sea level. The vines are rooted in morainic soils composed of sandstones and conglomerates. Following the harvest, the grapes are softly pressed and the resulting must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. The sparkling process takes place at low temperature in autoclave according to the Charmat Method (or Martinotti).
Visually, the Valdobbiadene Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore Brut ‘52’ reveals a yellow-green color with fine and persistent bubbles. The nose offers hints of citrus, white-fleshed fruit, spring white flowers, and fresh almond. On the palate, it is delicate, creamy, and light, with remarkable freshness.
