The Vintage Port of Quinta de La Rosa is made with the traditional varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Sousão. With a full-bodied, generous and elegant palate, this label is aged for 18 months in wooden barrels, and then aged in the bottle for over 20 years. It spreads intense hints of bitter chocolate, cherry and ripe fruit which are best released after decanting!

The Vintage Port Quinta de La Rosa is an elegant, rich, and powerful label that represents the most classic, prestigious, and traditional version of the great fortified wines of the Douro Valley. The result of a single vintage, it is the expression of purity and the oldest savoir-faire of the winery. Broad and generous, it is a fortified wine with very rich and mature aromas, soft, sweet, and satisfying. It is the bottle that best represents the style of the Quinta and accurately describes the character and personality of this great wine, inspired by ancient traditions passed down through generations over the centuries.

The Vintage Quinta de La Rosa is a Port born from the experience of a famous winery in the Douro Valley region. The vineyards are located on the slopes that line the Douro River and are cultivated on steep and scenic terraces supported by dry stone walls. The vineyards host ancient indigenous red grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Sousão. The harvests take place by single parcel, following the progressive ripening of the different grapes. The bunches are concentrated and small, particularly rich and intense. The grapes are foot-trodden and fermented in ancient granite stone lagares. Before bottling, the wine matures for at least 18 months in large oak barrels.

The Vintage Port Quinta de La Rosa is a very versatile fortified wine that can be enjoyed young by those approaching the fascinating world of Port for the first time, but it can also age very well for several decades with interesting aromatic evolutions. In this case, it is advisable to decant the wine before serving, perhaps paired with dark chocolate desserts. It presents a dark amber red color with bright reflections. The bouquet is characterized by notes of ripe small berries, sour cherry, spirit-soaked cherry, soft spices, bitter cocoa, toasted hints of noble woods and roasting. On the palate, it is dense and structured, with fine and evolved tannins, a soft and harmonious sip, a sweet fruit that leads to a long and persistent finish.
