Pinot Nero 'Carougeot' Antonin Guyon 2022

The Gevrey-Chambertin 'Carougeot' by Antonin Guyon is born in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, from a lieu-dit where Pinot Noir expresses all its depth. Grown organically and vinified in open wooden vats, it matures for a long time in mostly used oak. On the nose, it is rich and dark, with ripe forest fruit, a floral side, and earthy and wild notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied but full of energy, with dense and well-knit tannins and a long, powerful finish, perfect with braised beef or feathered game like pigeon.
