The Morgon by Marcel Lapierre is a red made from Gamay grapes that tells a personal and captivating story of the Beaujolais area. Vinified in steel with traditional semi-carbonic maceration, it is aged in used barrels to offer rich and delicate aromas of violet, licorice, and cherry pulp. On the palate, it is taut and full, with deep freshness, tasting finesse, and mature tannins.

The Morgon is a meaty and sincere red produced by the Marcel Lapierre winery, a famous wine reality in the heart of Beaujolais, which has applied a craft and environmentally respectful philosophy for generations. Made from pure Gamay grapes, this red is obtained through the traditional semi-carbonic maceration typical of this type of wine, followed by a short aging in wood. A bottle produced using the ancestral method, a representation of the territory without corrections.

The Morgon from Marcel Lapierre comes from pure Gamay grapes grown in Villié-Morgon in Beaujolais. The vines are over sixty years old and are cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture on sandy soils with granite schists. The grape harvest is manual, after which the winemaking is carried out in a minimally invasive manner. The fermentation, preceded by carbonic maceration, is spontaneous and takes place in steel tanks for 10-20 days. The aging involves a resting period of about nine months in oak barrels before bottling, a process without the addition of sulfites. The particular winemaking process requires careful storage of the purchased bottles that must be kept at cellar temperature due to the risk of deviations.particularly careful storage of the purchased bottles that must be kept at cellar temperature due to the risk of deviations.

The red Morgon from the Marcel Lapierre winery presents itself with a dense and bright ruby red color. The olfactory bouquet shifts from notes of small red fruits and cherry pulp to more delicate floral hints of violet, ending with perceptions of licorice. On the palate, it appears tense and crunchy, the sip is full and satisfying with a well-integrated tannic structure and a good freshness that invites drinking. A bottle produced with passion by a family that has been trying to express the territory at its best for generations and offers genuine and captivating nectars.
