It is vinified in steel and aged in traditional concrete vats, then reveals floral and fruity notes of cherry, rose, geranium, and violet. The sip is dry, soft, and very balanced.
The Morellino di Scansano “Heba” is a crisp, clean, and fragrant red wine with excellent drinkability: a brilliant expression of the Maremma Toscana. Its name comes from the ancient Etruscan place name of the city of Magliano. It is produced by the Fattoria di Magliano in one of the most suitable and picturesque hilly areas of the Tuscan countryside for the production of quality, elegant, and territorial wines.
The Morellino di Scansano “Heba” comes from vineyards cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, rooted in medium-textured soil rich in skeleton at an altitude between 150 and 250 meters. The high planting density of 6400 vines per hectare, combined with the high suitability of the soil and the beneficial marine influences, contributes to the production of healthy and juicy Sangiovese and Syrah grapes, an essential requirement for producing good wines. In the cellar, the must ferments at a controlled temperature in steel tanks and matures for 4 to 6 months in traditional unglazed cement vats. No filtration or other invasive interventions are carried out, in favor of traditional procedures.
