The Karasì from the Zorah winery is an Armenian red wine made from indigenous Areni grapes, grown at over 1400 meters altitude, matured in traditional amphorae called 'karas'. It is intense, warm, and spicy, with notes of berries, roots, and medicinal herbs. A wine with ancient charm.

The Karasi Areni Noir is a true high-altitude wine, born on the slopes of Mount Ararat and combining complexity with an innate freshness granted by the terroir. We are in Armenia, the birthplace of Vitis vinifera, and a treasure trove containing ancient traditions. Zorik Gharibian decided, after growing up in Italy, to take over 9 hectares of vineyard and start producing wine following the oldest local traditions, thus eliminating any chemical or synthetic substances and aging his liquids in Armenian amphorae, called Karas. The vines are still on their own roots, which enhances the complexity and richness of what is bottled. Deep expressions, capable of moving enthusiasts, and making neophytes into fans.

The Karasi Areni Noir wine is made from the Areni grape, a typical local variety, vinified in purity. The vineyards rise on the slopes of Mount Ararat, at altitudes between 1400 and 1600 meters. Vines on their own roots, no use of chemical products, and manual harvests are the prelude to a cellar work that is equally respectful, with fermentations that occur spontaneously in containers.of steel and rough cement. Aging of 6 months in terracotta amphorae of various sizes.

Areni Noir appears in the glass with a deep and vibrant ruby hue. The first olfaction reveals a vibrant and multifaceted liquid, which unfolds in succession notes of bramble berries, cinchona, rhubarb, and black pepper. A burst of spices, which later gives way to spontaneous underbrush and earthy notes. The complexity outlined on the nose is also evident on the palate, where the liquid reveals itself to be generous and rich, enlivened by a convincing contribution of sapidity and freshness. A more unique than rare expression, almost formative!
