Gruner Veltliner Federspiel 'Aus den Garten' Nikolaihof 2024

The Gruner Veltliner ‘Aus den Gärten’ by Nikolaihof interprets the emblematic grape variety of Austria in its freshest and most direct register. The grapes are grown in the Weingebirge, one of the oldest vineyards in Europe, a plot famous since the early Middle Ages. The name recalls the proximity of the rows to the historic gardens and orchards of the Mautern estate, where biodynamics has guided every choice since 1971. The nose recalls green apple and citrus, on the palate the wine is direct and savory, with a dry finish that fully expresses the character of the Wachau. It pairs naturally with a dish of canederli with speck.
