The Fiano Irpinia by Ciro Picariello is a light and easy-drinking white wine, with an elegant and refined bouquet featuring prominent white flowers and hints of white-fleshed fruit, with a mineral finish and beautiful freshness
The Fiano by Ciro Picariello is a Campanian white wine with a fresh and mineral profile, authentically expressing the Irpinian terroir. The Fiano grape thrives in these areas, showcasing clarity and spontaneity, especially when vinified in steel, which preserves the crispness of this varietal's spirit. This is an immediate and highly enjoyable label that is recommended to be consumed now to fully appreciate its straightforwardness and smoothness.
Irpinia Fiano by Ciro Picariello originates from vines growing in Montefredane and Summonte, in parcels located at about 500 and 650 meters above sea level. We find ourselves in two different terroirs, the first characterized by a clayey profile, facing south, the second marked by a layer of rocks mixed with clays, oriented towards the northeast. The must obtained from pressing the grapes is cooled for 24 hours at a temperature of eight degrees, before fermenting in stainless steel tanks. The final aging phase lasts for 6 months and involves frequent bâtonnage in steel containers. At the end of this period, bottling and marketing follow.
The Fiano Irpinia presents itself visually with a typically straw-yellow color. The aromas enveloping the nose reveal a floral and fruity soul, with a slight citrus touch at the finish. On the palate, it is light-bodied, lively, and spontaneous, thanks to a refined sip that develops with a savory and fresh imprint, encouraging for drinking. This label is characterized by an interesting quality-price ratio, which pairs well at the table with various fish first and second courses, as well as with fresh cheeses like a delicious Campanian buffalo mozzarella.
