The Côte de Nuits-Villages by Marchand-Tawse comes from the slope of Corgoloin, one of the small municipalities that since 1964 can claim this collective denomination. The brown soil, calcareous at the top and rich in gravel lower down, yields a direct and sapid Pinot Noir. On the nose, raspberry and strawberry are recognized, enhanced by a floral note and a salty hint, while the palate is fresh and straight, with firm but balanced tannins. To be tried with Dijon mustard rabbit, a historical dish of Burgundian cuisine
Colour:
Ruby red with garnet reflections
Scent:
Brilliant, with strawberry and cherry, with hints of violet and a saline finish
Taste:
Very fresh, then tight but fine tannins, direct sip and marked sapidity
