It is a pure Chardonnay with a refined and crystalline profile, a true expression of a high-quality terroir made up of limestone and gypsum, which gives the wines sapidity, minerality, and clear freshness. Its floral and fruity aromas enhance the finesse of a fragrant and pleasantly satisfying sip. It is a perfect Champagne to enjoy as an aperitif, to accompany appetizers or delicate seafood first courses.
The cuvée “Coulmet” is a Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs made by Maison Pierre Moncuit according to the tradition of a centuries-old savoir-faire. Today, the estate manages about twenty hectares, mostly located in the famous and prestigious area of Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger, right in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. The grapes for the cuvée come from vines cultivated in the Sézanne area, characterized by chalky and gypsum soils, particularly suitable for the cultivation of Chardonnay, which expresses itself in this area with exceptional aromatic finesse. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are pressed with extreme delicacy, in order to extract only the free-run juice. After the first fermentation, the base wines mature for several months and are then blended to create the final assemblage. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method, with a sur lattes aging period of at least 48 months.
The Brut Blanc de Blancs “Coulmet” from the Maison Pierre Moncuit is an artisanal Champagne dedicated to those who prefer the classic, harmonious, and fragrant taste or to those who wish to discover the character of the Maison starting from its entry cuvée. In appearance, it presents a beautiful bright light yellow color, crossed by a fine, continuous, and persistent perlage. The bouquet is characterized by aromas of white-fleshed fruit, green apple, peach, citrus hints, slight floral nuances, and bread crust. The sip is broad with a ripe and creamy fruit, which anticipates a fresh and savory finish.
