From our sommeliers

The Chablis from Domaine Colette Gros is a white wine with a unique expression of its grape variety and territory. Produced in one of the two exemplary areas for Chardonnay, also thanks to the minimally invasive treatment in steel, this label releases intense aromas of white flowers and citrus while on the palate it is harmonious, fresh, and vegetal. It pairs excellently with fish dishes.

The Chablis Domaine Colette Gros is a subtle and mineral Chardonnay, with a strong territorial correspondence. The Chablis area, in the far northwest of Burgundy, represents one of the most "northern" wine regions in Europe. Alongside the climatic factor, which determines the sharp freshness of the wines produced here, there is the pedological element, the so-called "kimmeridge", an ancient type of soil made up of limestone and marine fossils. This Burgundy production reality operates with an environmental sustainability perspective that adheres to the principles of organic farming. The use of plant protection treatments occurs only when the risk of damage to production or plants is genuinely significant.

Domaine Colette Gros Chablis is made from pure Chardonnay sourced from kimmeridge soils, rich in limestone and marine fossils. Following the harvest, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, in order to preserve the freshness and aromas of the wine. Maturation always occurs in steel tanks for a period of 6 months spent on the fine lees.

The Chablis from Domaine Colette Gros has an intense straw-yellow color. On the nose, it evokes perceptions of white-fleshed fruit, citrus, and white flowers, while on the palate it stands out for its remarkable freshness and minerality. The finish is simple and harmonious, with delicate vegetal hints. A graceful and typical bottle that serves as an ideal introduction to the vast world of Chablis, one of the most famous and beloved white wines among wine enthusiasts due to its elegance and sharpness.
