The "Caroline" Pranzegg is an Alto Adige wine made from a blend of four noble white grape varieties. It is a wine with a rich and broad character, born from a vinification with skin maceration. The intense and ripe aromas find a perfect taste balance in the fresh and savory notes typical of mountain wines, offering a harmonious and persistent sip.
The "Caroline" wine from Pranzegg is a particularly complex and structured white. The 4 grape varieties that make up the blend, thanks to their complementary characteristics, create an intriguing aromatic facet. The estate is located near Bolzano and is managed according to biodynamic principles with strictly manual processes. The same artisanal and natural approach guides all the work in the cellar, aimed at enhancing the raw material, trying to intervene as little as possible in the winemaking processes. The vines are cultivated on loose and deep soils, characterized by the presence of clay and sand of ancient volcanic and morainic origin, with components of porphyry, basalt, and granite. The vines have an average age of about 10 years and are trained in Guyot, with the very high density of 8000 vines per hectare and very low yields. 60% of the mass ferments with the skins for 12 days in tubs and the remaining 40% in large oak barrels.
