Albana Secco 'Arlus' Trerè 2025
The Albana Secco “Arlùs” is a Mediterranean white wine that is flavorful, produced on the hills of Faenza, vinified and aged in steel. It has aromas of yellow flowers, fruit, citrus, honey, and Mediterranean shrubs, and offers a pleasant, fresh, savory, expressive taste with good persistence.
The Albana Secco “Arlus” from the Trerè winery is a full-bodied and well-structured white produced in Faenza, in the province of Ravenna, amidst the beauty of the Romagna landscape. This label is made from pure Albana grapes, an indigenous white grape variety of this territory with a very ancient history, dating back to the Roman Empire, sourced from vineyards cultivated using the traditional Romagna pergola method on lush green hills characterized by medium-textured soils predominantly composed of silt. The winery is a family-run business, owning about 35 hectares of vineyards managed by Morena Trerè and her son Massimiliano Fabbri, who, thanks to their passion and dedication, have revitalized the family business by employing modern agronomic and oenological techniques while always remaining focused on the indigenous varieties of their region.
The Arlus Albana Secco from Trerè is produced with hand-picked grapes carefully selected around mid-September, with a small portion harvested late with a slight presence of botrytis. The bunches, brought to the winery, are pressed directly to begin fermentation.alcoholic in stainless steel containers at controlled temperature for several weeks. This is followed by racking and aging of the wine on its fine lees in stainless steel containers for at least 5 months, after which bottling takes place, with any necessary filtration and clarification before being released on the market.
The Albana “Arlus” Secco from Trerè presents itself with a bright straw-yellow color with slight greenish reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of yellow fruit and citrus emerge, including plum, peach, and orange peel, floral notes of yellow flowers and wildflowers, hints reminiscent of the Mediterranean scrub, and sweet notes of honey. On the palate, it is full, clear, soft, and fresh, characterized by a beautiful minerality and a slightly almond-like aftertaste.
